FAQ

Are you available for collaborations or partnerships?

At this time, I’m selective about collaborations and partnerships and prioritize work that aligns closely with my artistic voice and values.

My focus is on creating original woodburned artwork rooted in forest myth, quiet storytelling, and intentional craftsmanship. If you have a thoughtful proposal that aligns with this direction, you’re welcome to reach out via email.

Are your pieces original?

Yes. All original artwork is hand-burned by me, one piece at a time.
No two works are ever identical, even when exploring similar themes.

Select pieces may later be released as archival cotton canvas prints, but the original woodburned works remain one-of-a-kind.

Are your prints reproductions?

My prints are archival cotton canvas editions, created from select original works.

They are chosen carefully, produced in small quantities, and intended to extend the life of the imagery—not replace the original artwork. Each print is made to hold presence on a wall and is printed for longevity and texture.

What tools do you use?

I primarily work with Razertip wood-burning tools designed for detailed, controlled burning, along with a small selection of hand tools used for finishing and preparation.

My process is intentionally slow and hands-on, prioritizing precision, texture, and depth over speed.

How is the artwork finished and sealed?

All artwork is sealed for durability and longevity using professional wood finishes selected to suit the specific wood type.

Finishes are chosen to:

  • Protect the surface
  • Enhance the natural grain
  • Preserve the burned detail without excessive shine

Each piece is finished by hand and allowed to cure fully before being released.

Do you accept commissions?

I accept statement commissions on a limited basis.

These larger, narrative-driven works are created slowly and intentionally, and availability is limited each year. Commission openings are announced privately through my newsletter or by direct inquiry.

Not all requests are accepted, as the work must align with my artistic direction.

Where can I purchase your work?

Original artwork and select editions are available through my online shop.

In-person, my work can also be found at:

  • Rockfish Gallery & Gifts (Nelson County, VA)
  • Crozet Artisan Depot (Crozet, VA)

Availability at galleries may vary.

Do you ship artwork?

I currently ship within the United States.

Due to the nature of live-edge wood and international import regulations, international shipping is not available at this time.

Do you teach pyrography?

Yes. I am the founder and instructor of Pyrography Academy, where I teach and support wood-burning artists at all stages of their journey.

Pyrography Academy is a dedicated educational space focused on:

  • Foundational and advanced techniques
  • Tool control and material understanding
  • Artistic confidence and creative growth

Teaching is a separate but deeply connected part of my practice, grounded in decades of experience working with wood and fire.

Are lessons or workshops offered through this website?

No. All educational content, tutorials, and support are offered through Pyrography Academy, not through my fine art shop.

This website is dedicated to my original artwork and collector pieces.

How can I stay updated?

The best way to stay informed about new work, limited releases, and commission openings is to join my newsletter.

I send updates thoughtfully and only when there is something meaningful to share.
