How to take care of your Covered Bridge Pyrography:
When moving or handling your pyrography art piece, always hold it by the edges or base to avoid smudging or damaging the burned design.
Pyrography artwork is susceptible to damage from moisture. Keep your piece away from areas with high humidity, such as bathrooms or kitchens, and avoid displaying it in outdoor environments where it could be exposed to rain or moisture. And dust your pyrography art piece regularly using a soft, dry brush or a microfiber cloth. Gently brush away any dust or debris that may have accumulated on the surface to prevent it from settling into the burned design.
Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight can cause fading and discoloration of the wood and the burned design. Display your pyrography artwork in a location away from direct sunlight or use UV-filtering glass if displaying it in a brightly lit area. You can add a fresh coat of polyurethane to help preserve the wood and the burned design.
When not on display, store your pyrography art piece in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and humidity. Lay it flat or store it vertically with support to prevent warping or bending of the wood. And be sure to periodically inspect your pyrography artwork for any signs of damage, such as cracking, chipping, or lifting of the burned design. Address any issues promptly to prevent further deterioration.
