Description
Inspired by the quiet gravity of One More Light, this original pyrography piece reflects on time, presence, and the fragile weight of what remains.
At its center, a lantern holds a single flame—steady, small, and deliberate—while an hourglass marks the passage of time beside it. The surrounding night sky is scattered with stars, framing the piece in both stillness and motion. Together, the symbols hold a tension between endurance and impermanence, asking what it means to notice a single light before it fades.
Each element was sketched and burned directly into the wood before selective color was added, allowing the burn marks, grain, and negative space to remain visible. The result is a piece that feels both intimate and symbolic—meant to be lived with, not simply displayed.
This is a one-of-a-kind artwork.
