Slow Down—Nature Is Waiting

Hey there Reader,

In a world that’s always rushing, there’s something deeply healing about slowing down and truly being present. And there’s no better place to practice this than in nature.

When we take the time to notice the details—the way the light filters through the trees, the sound of leaves rustling in the wind, the feel of the earth beneath our feet—we create space for peace and gratitude to enter our lives.

This week, I want to invite you to try a simple mindfulness exercise on your next walk or outdoor adventure:

  1. Pause: Find a quiet spot to stand or sit.
  2. Breathe: Take three deep breaths, feeling the air fill your lungs and then slowly release.
  3. Notice: Look around and name five things you can see, four things you can hear, three things you can touch, two things you can smell, and one thing you can taste.

This exercise is a powerful way to ground yourself in the present moment and connect deeply with the world around you.

I’d love to hear how it goes. Try this exercise on your next walk and tell me how it felt. Did you notice something new? Did it help you feel more calm or connected?

Hit reply and let me know—I’m always here to cheer you on.

Cheers,
