Your Adventure Starts Here

Hey there Reader,

I want to let you in on a little secret: every big adventure begins with a single step. And that step doesn’t have to be grand or perfect—it just has to be yours.

This week, I’m inviting you to take that first step. It doesn’t have to be a cross-country road trip or a week-long camping expedition (though those are amazing too!). It can be as simple as:

  • A walk in your favorite park.
  • A morning spent watching the sunrise from a quiet spot.
  • A drive to a nearby trail you’ve always wanted to explore.

The key is to start small. Let yourself ease into the joy of adventure without the pressure of planning something elaborate.

To inspire you, I want to share a pyrography piece I created called The Blue Ridge Tree. It was inspired by a trail my family went to in 2008—a place I’ve returned to again and again when I need a moment of peace. Every time I look at this piece, it reminds me that adventure doesn’t have to be far away to be meaningful.

Where will your first step take you? Hit reply and tell me where you’d love to explore! It could be a park, a trail, a lake, or even your own backyard. I’d love to hear what’s calling to you.

And remember, this isn’t about checking a box or doing something Instagram-worthy. It’s about giving yourself permission to step outside, breathe deeply, and feel alive.

Cheers,

Petra
