You might have noticed a few changes…

Hey there,

For a long time I kept my work very separate. Different projects had their own spaces, their own lanes, their own audiences. It made sense structurally, but it didn’t actually reflect how I live and create.

Because the truth is… my creative life has never been one thing.

Some days I’m burning wood.
Some days I’m sketching patterns.
Some days I’m hiking and thinking through ideas.
And some days I’m writing about the whole messy process of building a creative life.

All of those things feed each other.

So instead of keeping everything in separate boxes, I’m bringing it back together under one roof while still making it easier for you to follow the parts that interest you most.

Here are the main paths you’ll see from me:

Pyrography Academy
If you want to learn woodburning, see tutorials, techniques, and creative practice.

Smoky Wood Studios
If you enjoy seeing finished pyrography art and studio work.

Spore & Sigil
If you’re interested in surface design, seamless patterns, and design assets.

And then there’s simply Petra Monaco, where I share reflections, stories from the trail, and thoughts about creativity and building things.

To make this easier going forward, I’d love to know what you’re most interested in hearing about.

Click the option that fits you best, and I’ll tag your preferences on my end.

You can click more than one if you want.

This simply helps me send emails that actually matter to you.

Thanks for being here and for following along with the work.

P.S. If you’re curious about what’s been happening lately, I wrote a post about stepping outside my comfort zone and joining a study group with strangers. Turns out showing up matters more than the course itself.
