Policies

I want you to be thrilled about your purchase and will help as best as I can with any questions or issues you may have!

Orders:

  • All orders that are to be shipped are to be paid online via one of the payment options provided.
  • Wood is not all the same, there for each piece made is sold in “as is” condition. Characteristics of wood will vary, such as figuring, spalting, live edge, knots, grains, colouring and so forth. This is out of my control. Requests for refunds or exchanges based on any organic state of the wood will be denied.
  • Custom orders take time and a lot of communication depending on the product being made. Please keep this in mind when ordering for a special occasion.
  • When having a custom order done, I will begin it by getting any and all required info needed. If needed, I will do up a digital mock-up of the design on the computer and send it to you for approval. Once approved, I will begin burning the piece. Once burning is completed, I will send yet another image for you to approve. Once you approve this final image I will seal the wood (clear coat, oil etc.) and no changes can be made at this point. I will send a final image of the fully completed piece before shipping it.
  • When going through the steps of your custom-ordered piece, please respond to e-mails/messages in a considerate timely manner as I cannot wait days or weeks for responses due to other custom orders I need to do.
  • **ALL CUSTOM ORDERS OVER $100 REQUIRE A $50 NON-REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT TO BOOK. This cost will come off the total final cost owing when the piece is complete of course.
  • I will contact you within a week to two weeks prior to beginning your order to verify details. If you do not respond to me within ONE WEEK, I will move onto my next order and you will forfeit your deposit and booked date. I can not, and will not push other orders back due to failure to communicate.
  • Final balance on your commissioned order is due 5 (five) business days once burning has commenced, unless a previous agreed upon date is set. Failure to pay the remaining balance within this time frame will result in your order being cancelled and you forfeiting your deposit as well as the finished piece. The wood will be sanded and re-used for another order. Communication is everything. I understand life happens and things come up – talk to me! Arrangements for later shipment, payment installations and so on can be done ahead of time.

Shipping:

  • Please allow 3-5 days (not including weekends and holidays) for processing time unless otherwise stated.
  • You are responsible for providing me your correct shipping information. If it is wrong and an item is returned due to incorrect information, you will be charged the returned shipping fee, plus the shipping to have it re-shipped.
  • You, the buyer, are responsible for any charges incurred due to import fees, duties, and import taxes that may apply. 
  • I am not responsible for delays due to reasons beyond my control such as customs, weather, postal strikes and so on. 
  • It is your, the buyers, responsibility to know your custom laws on importing wood into your country. If a package has been returned or confiscated at the boarder due to any importing restrictions in your country, I will not refund nor replace the item. Please check your importing laws before purchasing a wooden item.
  • I will try my best to include tracking information with every purchase, but sometimes this is not given to me by the post office for small packages, such as envelopes. 
  • Please allow up to 3 weeks for delivery before contacting me (4 to 6 weeks if outside of the US). If you have not received your order within the allotted time, please contact me and I will see if I can find out what is going on. I will do my best to make sure you get your package! Your patience during shipping is appreciated!
  • Once the tracked item has been marked as “delivered” by the postal carrier, it is no longer my responsibility. If you have not received it, but it said its been delivered, I will not replace or refund the item. It is your responsibility to check in with the carrier for further information. 

Gifts:

  • If you would like your order to be a gift, please use the “add note” feature at checkout and be sure to say that it is a gift. if you would like to add a personalized note in the gift, you may do so in this area as well. 

Returns & Refunds:

All returns/refunds/exchanges for all my handmade pieces are decided on by a case-by-case basis. Please contact me within 3 days of delivery and I will be happy to review the issue. 

The following items cannot be returned: 

  1. custom orders
  2. personalized orders
  3. sale items
  • In the case where we have agreed upon a solution for a return/refund/exchange and the piece(s) must be sent back then you, the buyer, are responsible for return shipping costs.
  • If the item(s) needs to be returned, then it must be done within 7 days following an agreed upon solution or I have the right to refuse the refund.
  • Refunds are completed once the item has ben received and reviewed by me.
  • If the item(s) is not returned in it’s original condition, the buyer is responsible for any loss in value.
