Der Frosch Koenig Pyrography

This past week I had this idea to create a wood burning of Der Frosch Koenig based on some of the Brother Grimm Stories. I have a German version to read with 200 stories and thought that’ll be a fun little way to play and explore my creativity…

I think I like it!

My journey with reading wasn’t always easy. I was diagnosed with dyslexia at 6 or 7 and had to go to school on Saturdays for tutoring to improve my reading skills. By the time it was said and done, I was reading about 10-15 books a week.

Thank goodness for the library and for finding a way to escape from my life in foster care. If I wasn’t at gymnastics, dance lessons, or music practice, I was found on my bed reading. It was almost like an obsession as I became hyper-focused on how many books I could read in a day, a week, or a month.

I stopped reading though when I was in college for 7 years earning my degrees online! Nothing like reading so much text that can burn you out from reading.

I had really wanted to get back to it and in 2018 I made a date with myself to explore the different genres and found the paranormal fiction romance section on Kindle and then on Audible because now I get to listen while creating art.

There’s only one version of this available, making this one of a kind.
